Camp Mattatuck Winter Camp! Each day runs from 9am-4pm. Check-in begins at 8:45am at the small Memorial Pavilion in the parking lot, opening flags each morning will be at 9am at the main flagpole near the dining hall, merit badges will begin at 9:15am (please see the merit badge schedule above to see locations of badges). Some merit badges have time sensitive requirements/Pre-Reqs, Scouts are responsible for finding and getting these done before arrival at camp for their particular badge. Scouts should begin those requirements well in advance so they can finish their merit badges at camp. Other badges such as Climbing and Snow Sports are weather dependent, it needs to be an ideal temperature for these badges to happen, so Scouts signing up for either Climbing or Snow Sports should have a plan b ready. (Any Scout taking Snow Sports merit badge needs to supply their own pair of cross country skis, they will not be provided). Scouts should pay close attention to the schedule. Each badge is NOT offered each day, and each badge will take up the full day. For example a Scout cannot take Metal Working in the morning and CIT in the Community in the afternoon, each badge is listed as 9:15am - 12pm & 1pm - 4pm meaning it is a six hour merit badge, NOT two three hour sessions.
