Supporting Matatuck

The Mattatuck Volunteers is an organization of individuals who have been dedicated to supporting camp for the past 40 years. This is done through helping at workdays and as needed to promote  the physical upkeep of the property, supporting various events and camp programs throughout the year, in-kind and financial donations, and more.

 

The current Executive Committee of the Mattatuck Volunteers consists of the following people: Dave Russell (Chair), Mark Abbott (Vice Chair), Rob Reed (Treasurer), Chris Perkins (Secretary), JT Plona (Publicity Officer), and Jeromy Nelson (non-voting, ex-officio member as Camp Director). Except for the Camp Director, Executive Committee members serve two-year, renewable terms and are elected at the Annual Meeting in January. The Chair and Secretary are elected in odd-numbered years and the Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Publicity Officer are elected in even-numbered years.

There are also several standing committees of the Volunteers that are each led by a coordinator or two co-coordinators. Committees are established by the Bylaws and coordinators are appointed by the chair. Committees may also be created by the Executive Committee on a temporary basis.
