Supporting Matatuck

Mattatuck Volunteers
The Mattatuck Volunteers is a group of individuals who have dedicated to supporting Camp for the past 40 years. This is done through a variety of methods, including volunteering at camp workdays, donations, organization of fundraisers, and more. The current Chair of the Volunteers is Dave Russell; the Vice Chair is Mark Abbott; the Treasurer is Rob Reed; and the Secretary is Chris Perkins.

Mattatuck Gala
The Volunteers's primary fundraiser, the Mattatuck Gala is an event held annually in November that raises thousands of dollars with the goal of sustaining Mattatuck for years to come. We recently began giving out awards at the gala. This past year's recipients were Bob Peoples (Point Award), Troop 52, Oakville (Mission Brown Unit Service Award), and Sanford & Hawley (Compass Award). Pictured in the navy suit is Dr. Ray Sullivan, who won the first ever Point Award in 2023.
