Accreditation
Mattatuck is robustly licensed and accredited by multiple organizations. Our number one priority is the safety of our campers and staff; our accreditation reflects both that polestar and our commitment to summer camp excellence.
We are fully licensed by the State of Connecticut as a day and resident youth camp and comply with all relevant laws and regulations. As part of this licensing, we receive an unannounced inspection at least once annually. You may review relevant regulations and parts of the law by clicking here.
We are also additionally certified as a Nationally Accredited Scouting America camp, meaning that we meet or exceed 350 specific requirements across 94 different standards that ensure camp success and safety. These standards cover areas such as program design, health & safety, facilities, and more. We receive a full assessment from the National Camp Accreditation program annually.
