National Youth Leadership Training is an exciting, action-packed program designed to provide
youth members of the Boy Scouts of America with leadership skills and experiences they can
use in their home troops and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others.
Connecticut Rivers Council will offer this course on the following date.
Monday August 3 – Saturday August 8, 2009
Camp Mattatuck
Cost this year will be $225.00
Scoutmasters must complete the request for application no later than May 15th, 2009.
The course has space for 64 youth participants. Two youth per troop, crew, or post will be accepted
as participants. Participants must be 13 years of age and 1st class or its equivalent.

Merit Badge Completion Day is Friday, August 14, 2009. It was incorrectly published as August 15 in some publications. This day gives scouts the opportunity to work on more merit badge requirements and possibly complete the badge. Scouts may only work on requirements for badges that they have previously received partial requirements. New badges cannot be started on this day.
