Unit Leadership
Units in camp must be under the supervision of their adult leaders and must have at least two leaders in camp at all times. One leader must be at least 21 years of age, the other at least 18, both approved by the unit's Chartering Organization. Although we know it is difficult for an adult to take a week to come to camp, to do otherwise is tough on the Scouts. We must ensure that each Scout has a quality experience. That happens only when a full time leader is there. We take a great deal of time to explain camp, its operation, and the program. When a troop has rotating leadership, the troop suffers and new leaders dont know what to expect.
