High Elements
The program concludes with the high ropes courses. The classic example of a high element is our spectacular zip line. It is amazing what one learns about oneself after stepping off a small wooden platform perched 30 feet up a telephone pole and "zipping" 685 feet through the air on a cable and pulley.

The high elements vary in difficulty and design but always result in the same out come. Once a Scout has started the course, the initial anxieties and fears are swept away and replaced by the exhilaration and self-fulfillment achieved as a result of one's own courage. The high ropes are used at the end of the week and are so popular that they often leave a positive, long-lasting impression on the Scouts that traverse them.
