Troops check out of camp on saturday morning. Breakfast is served at 8:00 followed by the court of honor at 8:45. Different troops do things different ways, in that some troops may leave immediatley following the court of honor, some may go back to their campsite, etc. For an exact time to "pick-up" your scout, we reccommend contacting your unit leader.
Leaving Camp
If a scout will be leaving camp during the year, it is a good idea to tell both the scout and their leader what day and at what time they will be picked up. To sign a scout out of camp, the scout, an adult leader, and the person picking them up need to all be present in the office. This is to make sure that the scout leader is fully aware of the scout's departure, and that who they are leaving with is appropriate.
When sending mail to campers, please address the message as follows to ensure they receive it:
[Scouts Name] [Troop #] [Campsite]
Camp Mattatuck
221 Mount Tobe Rd.
Plymouth, CT 06782
Troop Photos
Troop photos are taken each Tuesday just before dinner. Have the troop arrive in the Amphitheater between 5:00 and 5:30. All scouts and scouters will be in Class A uniform. Bring your Troop Flag. Photo Order forms are handed into the camp office with the $10 per photo by Monday evening. Everyone does not have to buy a photo but everyone does have to have their photo taken. Pay for photos with one check made out to "Connecticut Rivers Council".

Valuables
Camp Mattatuck, its Staff and Connecticut Rivers Council will not be responsible for individual camper or troop valuables while in camp. Here are some tips:
- Advise Scouts to bring as few valuables as possible (leave the Game Boy home).
- Advise your Scouts they are not to walk through another units campsite. Also other scouts should not be walking through your campsite.
- Tells the Scouts that storing money & watches in their shoes at the waterfront is not how to handle valuables.
- Dont leave personal or troop objects laying around the site to cause anyone temptation. Its a shame to have to mention this but sometimes, as hard as we try, the outside world does intrude in camp.

Due to unit leader requests, the trading post will not sell candy, soda, or ice cream before lunch, and closes 1 hour before meals. Items stocked are on a first come, first serve, while they last basis.

Emergencies
If a serious problem occurs outside camp and a scout or adult needs to be reached, the Camp Office should be called. The number is (860) 283-9577 and a message will be given to the person when they are located.
When you arrive at camp, you will receive and be trained in the use of the troop fireguard plan and the various Emergency Procedures used at camp. At all times Scoutmasters are expected to maintain control of scouts. The Camp Director must be notified immediately of any emergency.
